Milo Sanctuary: Events

There are many events at the sanctuary throughout the year. Our staff are usually extremely busy taking care of the animals that live at the sanctuary, so visits are by appointment only. However, there are lots of weekends that are open to the public for volunteer workcamps, open house weekends, our annual winter holiday open house, and special donor visits.

Open House Weekends provide an opportunity to visit the sanctuary for individuals that wish to visit and meet the animals or who are interested in adopting one of the sanctuary animals. Staff and volunteers will be on site to give visitors tours of the sanctuary, facilitate introductions of sanctuary animals, and answer questions about the sanctuary and its animal residents. Please email our program director (amr@milofoundation.org) to register and receive directions to get to the sanctuary.

People are welcome to come on either Saturday or Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. You are welcome to camp overnight on the sanctuary grounds (meals are not provided). Friendly dogs are welcome to join you.
