As a yearly sponsor, you will receive a full-color certificate of your adopted animal. This makes a great gift for animal lovers as well! Sponsors are welcome to visit their sponsored animal at the sanctuary by appointment.

The cost of an annual sponsorship is $500 for dogs and $300 for cats. A monthly sponsorship is also available for $50 for dogs and $25 for cats. This sponsorship program provides much needed support to fund vet care, food, housing, and ongoing care for all of our animals. You may sponsor by making an online donation (below) or mailing in a check with your application. If you make an online donation, please mail or fax in your sponsorship application.

In all, Milo Sanctuary is home to around 200 animals at any given time. The sponorship program is new, so we will be adding photos and bios on a continual basis, so please check back often for new animals listed here. Thanks for considering our sponsorship program.

Hi, my name is Molly. I'm a female black lab, about 9 years old. I've been up here for several years and I love living in the woods. I play with my roommate Chip all day long and I love food and treats. In fact, I love food so much that my caretakers feel more comfortable separating us at feeding time, just in case I gobble up mine and then decide to go steal Chip's (he eats so slow, I think he does it on purpose to annoy me!) Anyway, even though I'd love a home, I have to admit that I do better up here since I'm not really that social and a crowded doggy park might make me edgy. Please come visit, we can play ball or you can take me for a walk or feed me treats! Did I mention I like to eat?! Even a small care package once in a while would make may day. Thanks so much for checking me out, see you soon?

Mama Porter
This white and tabby Manx kitty has no tail and two crumpled up years. She is the kindest, sweetest cat at the sanctuary. One of our very first residents, she is ancient by cat standards, but still living a good life with her fellow felines. She is very social and loves being petted.

Yo, Chip here. I think I'm about 4 years old.... male Australian Shepherd/Samoyed X it says in my file, but, really, who knows? A big mutt that's who I am! I live deep in the woods with my girlfriend Molly and, let me tell you, we love to entertain, so come on up and visit. I'll make sure I roll in the mud until I'm no longer white, then I'll jump on you to greet you so that you can sport some nice paw prints on your chest. I try so hard to behave, but I'm hyperactive and goofy and I love to play. Bring me toys, you hear? Big sturdy, rubber ones that I can go to work on.... if you feel strong, I'd love to take you for a walk. Boy, do I know how to pull! Only for the first few minutes, then I'll settle down and become so sweet, I swear, you'll be tempted to take me home! So, shall we say next weekend?

Bossy Bee
This short hair tabby/calico rules the roost at the Leukemia House at the Milo Sanctuary. She is very social with people and loves to be petted. She spends her days sunning herself in the Leukemia cat yard and playing on the cat trees.

My name is Willy. I'm shy and I don't trust people. I'm only 2, but something must have happened to me because new people scare me and I don't like to be touched by strangers. I live with Jenner and I love him.... I herd him all day long, as any respectable Heeler should do. I also have an annoying high pitch bark and I squeal all day long. Who cares, with all this land around us the neighbors are sooo far away that I can have as much fun as I please. I love my caretakers and when no one else is around I rub against them and they scratch my chest. I eat all my food then I jump on Jenner's back and bite his years, do you want me to show you? If you visit, bring me a cookie and I might take it through the fence; bring one for Jenner too, he loves them and he loves people, so come for him more than for me. A cookie will make my day and I'll send you home with a head ache! Cheers!

Louis
This gorgeous male tabby is extremely shy, but as he gains confidence in his surroundings he has blossomed into quite a playful fellow. He is learning that pets don’t have to be tolerated and accompanied by hissing. This large kitty is becoming quite a big softie and a favorite of the sanctuary staff.

:
Greetings, my name is Jenner and I'm a very enthusiastic pit mix, young and happy. I love, love, love to see people! I jump and hug and I crave attention. I'm loud and wild and can't sit still, but I have a heart of gold. I have a little bit of separation anxiety, so I can be destructive if left home alone... I guess that's why I'm here. Willie and I have a blast, we play and play, then play some more. He is always herding me and latched on my neck, but I don't mind. He is my buddy and I love him, Will you be my buddy too?

Chester
This handsome short haired orange and white male loves people and is a constant companion to his caretakers. He often goes to great lengths to be close to Ginger, our main cat caretaker. He waits all day for the other cats to go into the house for the night so that he can get pets from her with no competition.

Big Boy
The large black and white cat has chronic upper respiratory symptoms and had been treated extensively by our vet to no avail. Numerous vets have failed to come up with a reason for his continued problems. He was housed under observation for a long period of time, but is now back at the cat house (he’s apparently not infectious) being a big bully and enjoying life.

My name is Harpo, a healthy red mutt, and I live alone so I'm a little lonely. The guys let me out often and I love to run. I'm very obedient and always get back in when they tell me to. You know what I would really like? First, you could take me for a long hike, then feed me a nice, juicy, thick bone with plenty of meat on it... one that will last for hours. Mmm, I can already taste it....

Little Tabby Cat
This short haired tabby female is extremely shy and elusive with strangers, but enjoys morning pets with those she does trust. She spends her days with her feline friends in the cat yard and spends the night perched in a fluffy bed in one of the cat trees in the main cat house.

Greetings, my name is Fat Teddy and I'm starving! I wake up in the morning and I wait for feeding time. When they finally bother to show up with my bowl, I inhale it then dream of food all day long. Cookies, meat, bones, rawhides, jerky.... I live to eat and that's the honest truth. Some people I like, some I don't. Don't worry about it, just send or bring edible stuff, tons of it, mountains.... and do me a favor, put in a good word for me with the guys that work here... tell them to double my portions, would you?

Bubbles
This short haired champagne colored tabby is very shy and elusive towards humans. Just recently she’s started to allow her caregivers to give her pets. She enjoys lounging in the cat beds in the cat house and on the porch outside.

Hi, I'm Olaf. Ok, here's the deal: you show up, I grab a toy and jump on the roof of my house... you take the toy out of my outh (come on, I don't bite, don't be such a wuss!) and toss it, so that I can go fetch it, get back on the roof and do it again and again and again. What are you tired already?! I'm Olaf, brindle pit mix, I look tough, but deep down I'm a softy. Hey, while you are at it, bring treats and none of those silly mini biscuits... big, thick milkbones. Gracias and hasta la vista, baby!

Skunkers
This beautiful long haired black and white cat was shy when she first came to the Milo Foundation Sanctuary, but now she is first in line for pets in the morning. She enjoys napping in the cat trees and playing in the grassy areas of the cat yard.

Hi, I'm Jaspar a young and sweet Blue Heeler. I can be shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I've got a little bit of a vehicle fetish and I tend to chase anything that moves, so perhaps the city would not be the best environment for me. But for all of you ranchers out there I'd be a great asset. I'm friendly, loyal, affectionate and smart. I'll go to work with you and stick by your side all day long and help you with the chores. Please take me and put me to work, or please sponsor me and send me toys and treats, I'll never forget it.

My name is Copper and I'm a 14 year old Chow mix. I'm one of the
old timers out here, so I get extra attention. I go for a long walk every day and they mix me a nice bowl with plenty of wet food. I enjoy treats, but, really, walks are what I love.... long ones, short ones, I'll be happy to work with you and accommodate you. I'm very well behaved on leash, I don't pull and I take my time sniffing around. I'm always on the look out for a kitty or other small animals... I can't help it, it's my prey instinct. So, if you have a cat leave it at home and just come see me. I keep my harness on the gate, so I'm always ready to go. Are you?

Hopi
This lovely Siamese/calico short hair has gorgeous blue eyes. She is shy with strangers, but loves attention from you once she gets to know you. She loves napping on window sills and playing in the cat yard.

Hi! I'm Kira, a fat little pit/kelpie mix. I was born in early 2000 and I moved in the same year. I'm very fond of people, not so fond of other dogs. When I get excited I grunt like a little piglet, very cute. I love food and treats and I absolutely adore human attention. I'll crawl all over you and lick you to death. If you have a nice, big couch and a tiny sliver of a fenced back yard, I would love to move right in. When you go to work, just leave me on the couch with a big box of cookies and I'll wait for you like an angel. Ta-Ta

I'm Rosie, a sweet little Aussie mix who loves to chase flies and herd bees. Some times I get lost in my own world and I run up and down the fence looking for work.... I'm looking for a nice family with a little bit of land; someone energetic that can exercise me and doesn't mind my barking. I'm always happy, never have a bad day. I jump and play, then run and jump some more. Come by and say "Ciao!." If I'm not too busy with something, I'll chat for a moment.

Honey
This beautiful long haired grey and white cat came to the Milo Sanctuary after her guardian passed away from cancer. She was initially kicked outside by the family of her guardian, even though she’d been strictly indoors until then. Honey ended up scavenging for food and fighting with feral cats in the neighborhood. A Milo volunteer rescued her and brought her to the sanctuary where she enjoys her days hanging out on the porch and cuddling up in her cat bed indoors at night

Hello! Blonde Milo at your service. A great specimen of yellow lab and something else, I love to jump and greet people planting big kisses on their faces. I just underwent a little surgery to remove a benign growth on my ankle and I'm doing real well. Give me a few more days and I'll be back to my old jumping self. I'd love to come visit you, if you have a nice tall fence and no other male dogs. If you ever make it to the Sanctuary, don't forget to drop by. I'll be waiting.....

Weasel
This good looking long haired Siamese mix has a dark mask over his eyes. He’s an excellent companion, very loving and gentle. His only fault is his need to mark everything in his path. He loves hanging out with the other cats in the main cat yard and cuddling up with others in shared cat beds to sleep during the night.

Greetings from Bert! Lab/Hound mix with a healthy appetite and a great loud bark. I love to chase cars, eat good food and wrestle with dogs and humans alike. I'm super active and love attention. Lets play rough, or you can throw balls and toys, feed me treats, pet me and love me. I know how to sit, stay, come and even more..... I just have a hard time containing my enthusiasm. Come on, visit me soon. Did you know I can be very playful!?

Jelly Bean
This short haired white and tabby cat is very social and full of energy and personality. His only ‘crime’ was being diagnosed with feline leukemia. He spends his days with the other Leukemia cats in their special house and cat yard, sunning himself in the grass and climbing up to a top perch in the cat house to sleep at night.

I'm Rosie, some sort of pit mix. I think I'm right around 7 years old.... I would love to play with you. I love all people and most other dogs, but I do better with one male roommate. Ham and I have been together for a while now and all is well. We live in the valley and we have a nice condo house with plenty of soft straw to nap on. I'm athletic and, if you are into hiking, we could have a wild time. Lets make it a day trip... come up in the morning and I'll show you around these beautiful woods we have on the property. Keep me on leash, though.... if I see a squirrel or a jack rabbit, I might bolt. I hope to hear from you soon....

Marigold

I'm the most beautiful cat in the cat yard...well, at least Alicia thinks so. I'm her favorite. I'm a stunning long haired calico. I've resided at Milo most of my life. I love being petted and brushed. I purr all day long. I'm about 11 years old, but I still look like a young, pretty thing...you'd never guess I was such a mature kitty. come visit me--I'd love to sit on your lap for awhile!

Hi, my name is Red Sasha, a stunningly beautiful golden retriever mix. I prefer men (both of the 2 and 4 legged kind), thank you very much. When I greet you, I'll wiggle my whole body and rub myself on the fence. Oh, I can be such a flirt.... I live with Olaf in a nice wooded area in the hills. You should come visit, we both love to play ball and we enjoy an afternoon treat or two. I am very vocal and not shy, so you'll hear me no doubt. Talk to you soon and thanks for looking, sweetie!

Anthony has been a sanctuary resident since he was 6 months old. He was very timid when he first came to Milo. He is still shy around new people, especially men, but has been voted "Best Smile" for the Milo yearbook by the staff. He currently lives with Kira and they enjoy the view of the horse pasture. Anthony loves to go for walks. He does well on the leash; he pulls a bit to start, but will stop with a little instruction. Anthony loves to give kisses and hugs. He is a large guy and a jumper so he would do best in a home with kids over 6. He loves to dance and spalsh in his water dish. He is probably quite a swimmer. Anthony does not do well with other male dogs, but does like some females. He can be protective of his home with new dogs. Anthony is a big love and taking time to earn his trust is definetly worth the effort.
