Sanctuary Staff
 Davide
Ulivieri, Sanctuary Manager
Hailing from Italy, Davide is now entering his fifth year as the
manager of the Milo Sanctuary. Before Milo, he spent 2 years at
Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. Davide has one dog, a 14 yo
mutt named Bluto who loves to hang out in the barn with Chilly Willy,
Bucci, Sistah Monk, Patch and Spike, Milo’s out dogs.
Sean
Gardner, Senior Sanctuary and Animal Caretaker
Sean recently moved up to the Milo Sanctuary to be one of our resident
caretakers. He was previously Milo’s tech staff person in the Bay
Area. In addition to animal care, Sean coordinates the Sanctuary
communications with potential adopters and the Bay Area Milo staff
and volunteers. He has one dog, Nana, and two cats Winnie and Mitzi.
He lives in the main house which is often visited by several Milo
animals who love to wander in and out.
Ginger
McGrew, Senior Animal Caretaker
Ginger lives in Brooktrails, just outside of Willits. She joined
Milo about 3 years ago and is responsible for the Cat Department.
Under her guidance the cat department has blossomed: the yards now
sport cover sand boxes and the cat house just underwent a complete
renovation including new hard wood floors, freshly painted walls
and improved ventilation. She has a dog, Fiona, a Milo rescue who
– while Ginger works – hangs out with Ziggy, an Aussie X who is
madly in love with her (Fiona, not Ginger.)

Samantha
Pipes, Animal Caretaker
Sam also lives in Brooktrails. She divides herself between dogs
and cats as an Animal Care Technician and spends most of her time
in the valley where the main dog yards and the cat house are. She
is married with two children: two little girls, Ayla and Regan.
Marc
Pipes, Animal Caretaker
Marc resides in Ukiah and is a self proclaimed computer nerd with
a passion for animals. He is our most recent addition to the Milo
Crew and is assigned to the dog department as an Animal Care technician.
He has two cats, Cheeto and Mitzi. He has been adopted by Bucci,
one of our out dogs, who tries to follow him around at all times.
He is shown here with Milo, one of the dogs in the valley area.
